A location can be the back of a shirt, the front, the sleeve, the pocket etc. It's the spot that is getting it's own design.

A shirt with a design on it's front and back would be two locations.

You count colors for each location individually.

Yes! We can screen print a shirt that might have dozens of colors using a method known as simulated process printing.

This process utilizes traditional spot colors in a manner that blends them together with halftones and gradients similar to a full color process.

This allows for a shirt design with dozens of colors, to use under 8 colors to make the exact same design.

When printing a light design on a dark colored shirt, the colors will look dark and muddled if we don't first add a layer of white ink underneath your design.

If your design already contains white ink, you don't need to add +1 since we're already using it.

If your design is darker than the shirt color - like a blue logo on a white shirt - you don't need to add that +1.

Remember, you do this for each location.
